06 Panoramic Tours of Myanmar ( 15 Days / 14 Nights )
Day
1 Arrival Yangon
Arrival at Yangon international airport. Transfer and check in at the
hotel. City sightseeing in Yangon featuring Chaukhtagyi, a colossal
reclining Buddha; Sule Pagoda, the mark and east sides of the square
are dominated by the colonial buildings and the City Hall; etc.
Finally, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda during the sunset time. Overnight
at the hotel in Yangon.
Day 2 Yangon/Kyaikhtiyo by car
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive via Bago to Kinpun base camp, 5
hours drive. Continue to Kyaikhtiyo, the Golden Rock, a huge boulder
completely covered by gold leaf and precariously balanced on the edge
of a cliff. From Kinpun, a steep and rough 11km dirt road leads to the
upper starting point, a journey made in open trucks, which are very
crowded. From the upper area, travelers must walk the final stage,
approx. 4km., up steep paths some 500 meters to the Golden Rock. On
arrival watch the beauty of sunset and own at this important pilgrimage
site. Overnight at the hotel in Kyaikhtiyo-hotel very simple and basic.
Day
3 Kyaikhtiyo/Bago/Yangon by car
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Return to Bago. Sightseeing Bago
featuring Shwemawdaw Pagoda, higher than the Great Shwedagon Pagoda;
Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha, once, was lost and overgrown by jungle
Hinthagon Hill. On the way back stop at Kyaikpun, four enormous Buddhas
sitting back to back around a huge square pillar. Overnight at the
hotel in Yangon.
Day 4 Yangon/Bagan by flight
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to
Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit local
market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas; Ananda
temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross; Sulamini
temple, the paintings inside believed to be the original and oldest
remained in Bagan; Dhamayangyi, a massive temple with a finest
brickwork and lacquer ware workshop. Late afternoon enjoy the sunset on
top of the pagoda or temple. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

5 Bagan
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Tour start with Myinkaba Gubyauk Nge,
early period Mon style temple with some excellent exterior carving;
Nanpaya, fragment of mural paintings reported to be among the earliest
painting in Myanmar; Myinkaba Gubyaukgyi, an Indian style spire; Upali
thain, (ordination hall) brightly painted frescoes from early 18 th.
century; Dhamayazika stupa, one of the finest expression of Bagan
architectural of a pentagonal base and walking around villages to
observe typical daily life. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.
Day 6 Bagan/Mandalay by car
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mandalay, approx. 8 hours. En
route visit Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its shrine dedicated to
'nats', animist spirits. Continue to Mandalay. Upon arrival check in at
the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

7 Mandalay
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing Mandalay includes Mahamuni
Pagoda; Shwe Inbin Monastery, an excellent specimen of Myanmar wooden
architecture; Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite
woodcarving, and traditional handicraft workshops like gold leaf
hammering, stone carving, tapestry making, etc. Late afternoon enjoy
the sunset on top of Mandalay hill, a vantage point for panoramic view
of the city. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day
8 Mandalay.Sagaing/Monywa by car
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Sagaing, southwest of
Mandalay and west bank of Ayeyarwaddy river. Tour highlights: Inwa
bridge; Ywataung village; Kaungmudaw Pagoda, an enormous solid
dome-shaped pagoda. Continue to Monywa. Overnight in simple hotel with
basic facilities in Monywa.
Day
9 Monywa/Mandalay by car Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Cross the Chindwin River by ferry
boat and proceed by coach, 45 meters to Phowintaung hill and cave
contains Buddha statues, wood carving and murals dating back to 17th
and 18th century. Then return back to Monywa visit more than 500,000
Buddha images; Ledi Kyaungtaik, monastery with Buddhist scriptures
inscribed on 806 stone slabs; Kyaukka village, well known for the
unique style of its lacquer ware. Return to Mandalay. Overnight at the
hotel in Mandalay.

10 Mandalay/Mingun/Pyin Oo Lwin
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. A boat trip on the Ayeyarwaddy river
to Mingun about 1 hour upriver from Mandalay with visit to the Mingun
bell, weighing 90 tons and claimed as the largest ringing bell in the
worlds; the massive Mingun pagoda built to be one of the world's
largest chedi known as the unfinished pagoda. Late afternoon about 2
hours drive to Pyin Oo Lwin formerly known as Maymyo. Overnight in
simple hotel with basic facilities in Pyin Oo Lwin.

11 Pyin Oo Lwin/Mandalay by car
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing to local market, Pwekauk
waterfall, Botanical Garden. Afternoon drive back to Mandalay.
Day
12 Mandalay/Heho by flight
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take a
flight to Heho. Upon arrival, drive to Pindaya for about 2 hours. Enjoy
also the great scenic beauty of the countryside. Check in at the hotel.
Visit Pindaya cave, inside there are more than 6000 Buddha images made
from alabaster, teak, marble, brick, lacquer of all shapes and sizes;
parasol workshop; shan paper making industry. Overnight at the hotel in
Pindaya.

13 Boat excursion on Inle Lake
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagodas; floating
gardens; floating market; natives' method of fishing; weaving village
of Inpawkhone and village life on the lake. Overnight at the hotel in
Nyaungshwe or Inle.
Day
14 Heho/Yangon by flight
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to airport to take a flight
back to Yangon. Upon arrival transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit
National Museum and Bogyoke market (Scott's market). Overnight at the
hotel.

15 Departure
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Yangon international
airport to take a departure flight.
