The
RV Pandaw and The Irrawaddy Flotilla Company
A journey on Ayeyarwaddy River is one of life's
great travel experiences. The old Irrawaddy Flotilla was a Scot's
company founded in 1865. By the 1920s the 'fabulous flotilla' as it
became known, was the largest privately owned fleet of ships in the
world. The company was received in 1995 and has since then specialized
in river cruises in Myanmar.
The Pandaw is 150 feet long and has a beam of 34 feet.
Conserving many original features, it was restored to recreate the
atmosphere and character of the first class deck of a colonial river
steamer.

Delta
Queen Myanmar River Cruises
The RV Ba Nyar Latt (Delta Queen) cruises across the delta
from Yangon to Pathein and back to Yangon three times per week. Pathein
is situated in the far south western corner of the Delta, which is only
30 miles to the Bay of Bengal and the beautiful resort destination Ngwe
Saung. The trip is sold in conjunction with hotel accommodation at the
new beach resort destination Ngwe Saung. Once in Pathein passengers are
transferred to Ngwe Saung by air conditioned coach one and a half hours
away.
The steel hulled vessel is 148 ft. long with a beam of 28
ft. and a draft of 5 ft. Purpose built for plying the waters in the
Delta region of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River of Myanmar. The vessel was
constructed primarily for the transportation of V.I.P dignitaries. And
is deal for tourist transportation services.

WETLAND BIRD WATCHING AND RESORT
This wetlands is two hours drive from Yangon and the best
season to visit is from November to March. Moyingyi wetlands is host to
75 species of elusive migratory and resident water birds. Apart from
bird watching, visitors can observe the daily life of natives,
traditional fishing, floral and fauna of the wetlands.
