Day 1 Arrival Yangon
Arrival at Yangon international airport. Transfer and check in at the
hotel. Orientation tour of Yangon if time permits. Overnight at the
hotel in Yangon.
Day 2 Sightseeing Yangon
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. City sightseeing in Yangon featuring
National Museum; Chaukhtagyi, a colossal reclining Buddha; Sule Pagoda,
the mark and east sides of the square are dominated by the colonial
buildings and the City Hall; etc. Late afternoon visit Bogyoke market
(Scott's market). Finally, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda during the sunset
time. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
Day 3 Departure Yangon
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Yangon international
airport for departure flight.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION BAGO (80 KM NORTH-EAST OF
YANGON)
Drive to Bago. On the way visit Htaukkyant War Cemetery of the second
World War. Sightseeing Bago featuring Shwemawdaw Pagoda, higher than
the Great Shwedagon Pagoda; Shwethayaung Reclining Buddha, once, was
lost and overground by jungle Hinthagon Hill. On the way back stop at
Kyaikpun, four enormous Buddhas sitting back around a huge square
pillar.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION THANHLYIN (45 MINUTES DRIVE
FROM YANGON)
Excursion across the river to Thanhlyin (Syriam) and on to the Kyauktan
Pagoda, the complex is perched on the tiny island in the middle of the
river; Kyaikkauk Pagoda, where you can view the great Shwedagon Pagoda
standing tall beside the Yangon's few high rises; local market and old
Portuguese church.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION TWANTE
An interesting day trip for those who interested in pottery, a major
cottage industry in Twante with several cottage industries like
joss-stick making, toothpick, etc. You will have to take the river
cruise along Twante Canal and visit by horsecarts or trishaws.
